Yay, yay yay yay.... *doing more than a happy dance*
I swam 100-200-400-200-100 this morning.
Then I swam another full 1K. And I lapped someone for the first time in my life (or the last 9 months if you account for the short time I've been swimming)...

Plus I tried another method of counting: alphabet soup. You start at A for length one and go up to where you are planning to - in my case U for 1000 m. You can make up words or little sentences (at L I was saying "lions, tigers and bears, oh my") until the next length.
It's fun, takes out the boredom, you can't get as lost as counting 100's - and it takes away the intimidation of "oh my god another 600 to go"......
I felt great. Not even sore.
The weather is soooo beautiful I should go riding (we had awful weather during the week), but I have chores to do and will go running late in the evening when it cools down.
And I lost a screw off my cycling shoes AGAIN - I think the thread is giving out. So the plate is screwy. I hope it can be fixed instead of having to buy new shoes.
