What can I add...?
A perfect lead-out by Julian Dean. He was giving it everything. 100% plus.

Just saw it on the news. Of course. Interview with the home tv crew and all. Given that Thor's a typical Norsky guy (John Wayne style emotionally repressed silent types, most of 'em) that was some impressive celebratory whooping after the finish :D Too bad he didn't have the flag shirt to wear this year. Fair enough, though, with team shirts since it's definitely a team-based win.

I wasn't near a computer or tv for most of today, so I caught up with Stage 4 news just now via Velonews.com. As with the last couple of days, I can't wait for Versus' enhanced coverage later this evening. Gotta see Thor SMASH!

Oh, and this shot from Velonews is priceless: Ever wonder...? (http://www.velonews.com/view_full.php?image=/images/details/12681.19429.f.jpg)

Heh, I thought the same thing. He needed this SMASH to make up for the lack of Toto this year ;)

:D My husband asked me prior to the stage who would win. I said "THOR WILL SMASH!" I am never right, so I was mighty pleased to see him roll across the line.

Stage one I saw a spoiler.
Stage two I said it would be some random guy no one expects. I was kind of right since you would have expected Boonen.
Stage three I said who the heck knows!!

Kalidurga - whadda they do? call a time-out for everyone?

Knot, I've wondered that myself. It's been discussed a few times in Versus coverage. From what I've heard, the peloton apparently sits up a bit to "wait" when it's that big a group. I saw a mention in either Stage 3 or 4 coverage, too, that the commentators were surprised that the two riders in the breakaway had stopped for a "nature call", apparently that's an unusual thing.

There are just so many interesting aspects to watching the Tour, aren't there? ;)
