Thanks to everyone who gave me recommendations on a Titanium bike.
I decided to get a Seven. Went to my bike shop this morning, intending to order a custom Alaris. Talk about fate--they had an Alaris, on sale, that fit me. It was a demo bike, barely got ridden. Compact geometry, as the shop used it as a demo bike for females. 2007 model.
It's beautiful. Light blue with white decals. I definitely will be upgrading the components, as it has Shimano 105. I cannot believe how light it is! The frame is so graceful. Right now, the shop is tuning it up, putting on my Speedplay frogs. Can't wait to get her own the road. I'm naming her Agnes, after my sweet golden who passed away in May.

Wishing you many wonderful miles on Agnes. What a great way to honor your beloved golden.
Sounds like you got an excellent deal -- can't wait to see the pics!

Yow-za!!! :D
That is GREAT news!
Congratulations...
Can't wait to see it. What will you do for upgrades? Are you doing that now, or will you wait?

I still can't believe I bought it, but I did sell my Terry and I got a cash award at work.
I'm going to upgrade the components eventually. The wheels are very very nice (Mavic). Salsa Short & Shallow handle bar, which is OK. Seven fork, headset, etc. I'm going to give the saddle a go--it's a Specialized Jett 143 (I have a spare Sella Italia). It's the Shimano 105 gruppo that I'm not digging too much. Hopefully, next year, I'll upgrade it to campy chorus.

Sorry, gals. I have no scanner and my cell phone is a basic model, with no camera. I took lots of pictures, but I just don't have any way of putting them on the computer. :o LOL.
I took Agnes for a very short spin this morning. I'm amazed at the bike's light weight and responsiveness. The best way to describe it is fastfastfast and very graceful.
Thanks, Trisk, for the info on the components. That's the gruppo I have on Agnes. It was shifting very smoothly this morning. For better or worse, I've become a bit of a campy snob. I intend not to replace them until they wear out.

I was going to say my Shimano 105 shifts beautifully as long as I keep her tuned up and am mindful of the lube, but it is a Campy thing! :D The 105 is pretty good IMO, but if you like Campy it will never be good enough.
Congrats on the new ride, I am sad there are no pictures. :(

That's a pretty bike! My LBS had a women's Seven - that same color scheme, but steel - set up as a test bike. Come to think of it, it is on sale now as demo bike. How fortunate that he Alaris fit you! What a great addition to your stable! Congratulations!
