I LOVE Mercians. the trouble is, unless you know what you want exactly, you'd better go to Darby (pronounced derby) to get fitted.. you know; a trip to England?
And yes; one of these days; I"m getting one too!!
I know a few guys who own them, in fact, I was on a ride about a month ago with a guy who'd just gotten his!!! it was beautiful and he was happy.

Actually, it's go to Derby (pronounced Darby) if I'm not mistaken. LOL
Well, I needed to return to the UK, anyway. This gives me a good reason.

I really need to take a better picture. The frame was given to me by Bubba, what a guy.

You do not have to go to the UK for a fitting. You just need a good fitter who can use the numbers from the fitting to pick a production frame or order a custom frame. It isn't any different than ordering a frame from any builder except Mercian happens to be in the UK.
Mercian is an old and great name in steel cycles. They're even working some carbon into the mix. Lugged or fillet brazed. Get on the other cycling forums, such as Serotta, and post if you'd like more recent experience than mine. Mercians get a lot of oohs and aahs from a knowledgeable crowd.

Take a photo from the front, I want to see the brand insignia.
That's a classy looking bike.

Because you said "please," here you go. :p
These photos were actually taken for identification purposes, not to display the bike. Photo 1 was to date the Campy shifters which were in our garage until this year and photo 2 was to identify the lug type (the name of which I've already forgotten).

Any idea how the prices compare to US bikes, like the Rivendell?
The weak dollar is killing us.

They compare VERY well. Check out their prices!!!
even with the poor conversion. Honestly, the only reason i didn't get a Mercian
was because of the bad experience i had with the $@#Q% in Connecticut.
I didn't want to try to buy another bike long distance with the added problem of
language/accent and time zones.
