I got all excited, seeing a sports bra on Steep and Cheap! Whoo-hoo! 59% off! Looks great! They have a "large" in stock! It's a miracle! Until I checked the size chart:

Sugoi Bridget Bra
Large = 36B-38A

I am a 36 D! How dare they call 36B a large?!? Sheesh.  The boobage, oh, the boobage.

Hmmm....wouldn't consider myself "large" chested. But now I gotta go check that out!

Well, yes, it would be an unexpected bonanza for the less-well endowed! :p They had mediums and larges when I was there a few minutes ago. But you know SAC...good luck!

Hmmmm, I feel for ya Lise as I am a 34D and have a heck of a time finding one that feels good. I wonder if it's a guy designing those or something. All they did was make the chest sizing bigger but kept the cup size the same on them. :(

less endowed here and yes, it was a bonanza :D

Oh, to be able to order a "large", for my flatter than flat chest... *wistful*

Sounds like my discovery this morning. Land's End classes a 38C as a "full figure" bra. No dears, full figure bras are for at *least* a D cup, and even that is dicey.

Where do they get these notions that real women only have chests C cup or smaller?

It would be a large for ME...... :p

But I just bought a couple of Zoot Runfit Bra tops in large and they're wonderfully comfortable and even cute. It's about the only Zoot product TE doesn't carry.:(

That's funny, I have th opposite problem. No problem buying sports bras, but try to find a regular bra and I can't find one in my cup size that will fit around my torso.

And I'm a size 4 to 6 and large Zoot stuff fits me sometimes, at other times I need an XL.

Are you sayin' I'm not a real woman 'cause I'm only a B? ;)

Nope :). Real women come in all kinds of sizes.

Now if only women's *clothing* came in the same variety of sizes...

All I wear anymore are sports bras, because I can't wear anything with the hint of a cup. Why do they all (I mean regular bras) now have to have a ridiculous padded thing that just stands out from my body, looking all unnatural? I just can't find any that fit - about once a year when I'm at Penney's I try on a few, and leave in disgust and discouragement.

Veronica: "Only" a B?

Oh, well. I can run without any discomfort (well, in that area, anyway). Since I'm 41 years old, I don't think this is going to change.

Try Patagonia. I get all my bras from them now. Sometimes they have web specials. The colors can be a bit funky...

Fellow A here - I like "Barely There" myself - though they keep changing the style on me so I don't have any that are specifically like this one

(they still have the microfiber "boy shorts" that are my absolutely favorite panties though!)

Yeah, but you're tiny everywhere! So it's okay. Sturdy girl here needs to have boobage to compensate for piano legs. :p

I found an old fashioned undies-store in Dallas where they still have women who fit you and know what they're doing. Once every few years I go and spend way too much money but the bras fit. (I'm too small-breasted for my torso, too.)

Sports bras rock.

They just get in the way...

And make it hard to buy clothes that hangs nicely -- garment makers build tops for B cups, didja know? -- this makes stuff hang, well, funky, from bigger boobage! Causes "pit buckets" on sleeveless tops at the arm holes, and strange folds there on stuff with sleeves....

On the other hand, grandbabies do enjoy "pillows" when snuggling!

While we're on the topic- does anyone know of a good large-boob/small-torso bra that provides a lot of support and doesn't have clasps or snaps that make it look like underwear?

I used to get the Road Runner Sports C/D cup one, but they only have the tank-top version of it on their website now. I'm a 36 or 34D (depending on the brand), and I want something I can wear by itself but that will still protect my "investments."

Title 9 (http://www.titlenine.com/jump.jsp?itemID=0&itemType=HOME_PAGE://) carries a few that are really great. The "Frog Bra" which is advertised to let you "leap without bouncing!" :D They have a few others and are worth checking out!

OK, Lise, I resurrected this thread because I had an experience this afternoon that has left me, shall we say, deflated.

Rather than come home right after swimming, I headed out to do some bra shopping. The 2 that I have are in dire need of replacement.

The saleslady insisted that I needed to be remeasured. No way I could wear a 36A. That is just such an uncommon size. I must be a 34-something.

New measurement: 36AA. Actually, 38AA, but they don't commonly make those. She didn't know what to think.

I'm switching to preteen undershirts.

Well, here's someone else with your "uncommon" size. No wonder it's virtually impossible to find bras that fit. Actually, it is impossible. I don't own a single bra that fits right.

I realized the other night that my too-big sports bra is REALLY too big. When I got home from my ride and took it off, my chest was covered with little gnats. What had happened here? How did they get scooped up in there? I did ride through some gnat swarms, but how'd they end up inside my bra? Put the sports bra back on and leaned over in front of a mirror...how absolultey horrifying to discover that the thing is so big, it literally gaps open and you can see EVERYTHING. Nice. Really nice. I'm a flasher now. Although there's not much to flash. Good grief.

Forget preteen undershirts...I think I'll just go with a couple of bandaids.

LOL, me too. Same size, but now the 36 is starting to dig in my lats so I'm probably a 38 and the cups are now not really cupping much since I've been training more. I might even be an AA.

No kidding...36A here. When I find a bra that is actually made in that size and fits me, I buy three. And I can appreciate Eden's irritation that they keep changing the darn things!!! Just when I think I'm set!

Moving Comfort offers some nice bras and nice racer back, full length bra tops. I used to wear them in aerobics.

I'm, er, a little busty and I am trying to find a bra that doesn't dig into my ribs. I have lots of those nice tanks with the shelf bra but when I get around the freezer section, well, you know......

When I was at Wal-Mart the other day I found a bra that I can wear under those shelf-lined tanks. It is a pull-over bra that has thin straps, no wires, and comes in cotton or microfiber. I think it's called The Most Comfortable Bra or something like that. Anyway, I have been using it under my jersey's and it's not too bad. Wish it had wicking properties.

By the way, have you noticed how many of those sports bras are designed to give you the uniboob?
