The year Jan rode into the ditch is the first time I saw the TDF on television. :eek:
Some of those guys really tumbled!

Surprised they dint show the clip of Joseba Beloki on the descent in the TdF 2004 when he and Lance were out front and Lance ended up going 'cross for almost 100 m before rejoining the road *after* a hairpin bend.
Recognised a lot of them, actually.
That was painful to watch. OUCH!!! Man they can really wreck can't they?

I hope I never crash on my road bike . . . knock on wood! I have crashed many times on my mountain bike but road would be 100X worse! Cement is so ungiving. My daughter crashed this past Sunday on a road ride. Thank God she is not too badly hurt! Just sore with some bruises and scratches.
