Hi All, I lifted this from my *other* bulletin board, these riders especially need help from our Bay Area TE'ers.

"Ted Huang, who races for the Webcor Pro Cycling team, and his girlfriend, Olympian Christine Thorburn, had their bikes stolen from inside their car while parked near Gordon Birsch between 5:15 and 6:00pm following the Giro di SF bike race yesterday.

These bikes are very unique and should be easy to spot. Here are the descriptions from Ted:

One was a 51cm custom Dean titanium bike with 10-speed Dura Ace and a one-of-a-kind red/white/blue Fizik Aliante saddle. It was used in this year's Olympics and we need it back for the World Chps coming up in late September.

The other was a 53cm Lemond Tete de Course (ti/carbon) bike with Dura Ace components. It had a custom paint job with green Lemond decaling and a "Webcor" logo on the top tube. Only Webcor bikes have the green decaling.

They also lost a Powertap rear wheel (Mavic Open Pro) and two sets of Bontrager X-Lite wheels.

Those of you are in the market for new bikes, please keep an eye out for them if you can. If you see them at bike swaps, on the Internet, or around town, or may have any information please contact Ted (ted@webcor.com)

Please feel free to pass along this message to friends and other clubs.

Thanks Dita, I forwarded it to my club's email list.

May the perps rot in you-know-where.

A pox on all bike thieves!

May they catch a wheel in a storm grate and crash-burn into the cement knocking out all their teeth except one and that one should have a toothache and may the bikes be miraculously unscathed. I'm borrowing from, embelishing on G'ma's traditional Yiddish curse.
