I took a drive to Flagstaff yesterday where I met up with Spokewench! She had offered to take me on a nice ride in the high country and I wasn't disappointed. Fifty five miles with lovely weather and scenery. I recorded my fastest ever downhill speed of 41mph, but the wind was blowing, I got squirrely, and scared myself!
Anyway, great ride! Thanks, Spokewench! TE ladies are the best, aren't they?:D

We had a really good time on our ride yesterday and just like all TE ladies, Mtkitchn is a really great gal and a very accomplished bike rider! She is a little worried about the ride she is doing in Colorado (lots of hills), but I know she will do great!

Thanks for the great ride MtKitchn!

Spokewench, will you ride by my friend Tracey's house and get her to ride her bike to work? She lives on East Birch Avenue in Flagstaff.

Y'know, riding is very therapeutic!

I wasn't on my bike much this month -- on the 9th and then again yesterday, and I've been mighty hard to live with, at least to myself! I don't know how the rest of my family has felt about it, but me, I've not wanted to be around me! DH would go for a ride, brag about how much fun he'd had, and I'd just look at him and say don't EVEN go there... SO depressing to not be able to go out with him!

Anyway, yesterday, I had no other commitments, so I decided it was time to get back out there (yeah, so it was 98 degrees, bright sun, who CARES!) He called and said I should meet him part way home, which was ideal. The flat tire when I went out to get on my bike had me cranky for a bit, but I fixed that faster than ever, and got out anyway. He wanted to go right home, but that was about the time I was just getting warmed up, y'know? So, we did ride together some, I had a total of 10.6 miles, which is a sort of little ride, but what a job it has done on my attitude!

Another, little bit longer ride today, and I'm getting even better!

Absolutely. Where does she work? I work at a building on Birch and Beaver!
