I don't know how to put this, but I have major "unit issues." I don't just have pressure problems(that I can handle), but my major and minor rub together so much that I get tiny blood "pinch" blisters. I've tried powder and cream and it still happens.

Does anyone have any saddle suggestions? I'd love to actually be able to ride this 3K bike I just bought for more than 10 mins.

There is a whole section of this board devoted to "favorite" and "most hated" saddles, also check around for how to handle chafing, it's all here.. try tips and tricks

oh and welcome!!

Worth considering the shorts. I had saddle issues last year and opted for one with a cut out which helped greatly. I also got a pair of super padded Pearl Izumi shorts which really helped.

Just recently our club got some new kit which included team shorts. I got a pair and didn't think much of the padding - seemed a bit thin BUT.... I couldn't believe how comfy they were! I rode 72 miles on Sunday in total comfort. :)

It seems the super padded PI shorts actually caused more discomfort than they were supposed to cure. I was really suprised, but in my case it seems that less is more when it comes to padded short.

Just my 2p worth.

I'm currently wearing Pearl Izumi for women. It's not the super padded version, but I'm more than willing to try another pair.

rimurray,

Is your bike fit correctly? You might want to check the height, angle, for/aft position of your saddle. Sounds like there is definitely something not right!!! What you are experiencing should not be happening.

I would hope the dimensions are correct - it's a custom frame (wouldn't that be the ultimate bummer). My husband is going to try to help with for/aft and poss. nose position today.

Thanks for all these ideas ladies...you're all a great help!

Without giving "too much information"! I have a similar problem when spinning (never have the problem on my real bike).
I've found that if I wear baggies (shorts) I get blisters, if I wear lycra jobbies, I'm fine (different makes for both types).
I think the baggies just don't fit as snug/in the right places as the lycra ones.
Tried all sorts of creams and stuff, but the shorts did it for me.
