Specialized FSRxc vs. Trek Fuel EX 5 WSD

Hi, I am a new rider kind off, because I am away most of the year, so everytime I hop on my saddle I am a new rider all over again. But my 03 Specialized Hardrock got stolen 2 days ago, I am now in the market of yet again another one, can any of you please tell me your opinions on these bikes and which one do you think I should buy. I am buying one tomorrow, since I only have about 3 weeks on land to ride.

I don't really know anything about these bikes, or mountain bikes in general, but there are reviews for both on mtbr.com

The Specialized gets a 4.25/5 rating in 25 reviews (http://www.mtbr.com/reviews/xc_full_suspension/product_124773.shtml). The Trek gets a 4.8/5 in 5 reviews (http://www.mtbr.com/reviews/xc_full_suspension/product_128096.shtml).

I'm sure you could pick up some meaningful info from these.
