July/Aug SS-Theme & other info ya need

Madame SS organizer reporting for duty.

This time round the SS covers July/August giving everyone lots of time to find something funky and not panic about the deadline. As long as your item is in your SS's mailbox by the end of August, it's hunky dory.

I also know it's summer vacation up in the Northern Hemisphere :) You may want to send postcards from your vacation spot or your town just to add some mystery..

So, the theme is books & this covers all ranges of items from diaries to a book about your City, State, Country,bike or in the case of Zen..an ant colony..:p

Please have fun and be creative with your package..(I heard that thought Zen & X :eek: :p ) Cycling related stuff is cool as well.

Please send me your name & address details by June 25th and I shall have the names out by Canada Day.

I await the flood of messages in my inbox :eek: I might need some organisational butterflies :o

I am so excited! I already know the book I want to send - pretty universal. I think I'll spend a recovery day at the LBS (local book store) looking for some additonal reads and other goodies - so many possibilities - hold me back!

Woohoo!! I have missed the last one or two. I can't wait to get my name. Some of the best books I got are some books about Canadian Provences my friend wrote. She thought I wouldn't enjoy them but they have random facts. Oh and cookbooks. I just love this theme!

When I was little, I gave my sister an ant farm. She was 6 years younger. She was impressed. I gave her a shoe box filled with dirt and I had put as many ants in the box as possible. There was no lid. She kept it in her room a few days before my mother realized.

My mother was not pleased.

So, due to past errors in judgement, I might not send anything ant farm related!

Of course, maybe only because it pertains to local history so maybe not so good for everyone out of the area..but willing to send anyways. AND no ants for me, i have enough problems with them without any help. ;)

Somehow between a new front deck and mulch (maybe not related) my kitchen has become the local hangout for such said ants. Never had them before, and no offese zen, they still wouldn't be cute if they were wearing the hats, overalls, and hankerchiefs. They only might be more visible to me that way. But, thanks for the offer...;)
p.s. zen- just occured to me, are you making ant lawn ornaments??

Zen, so I must have been asleep and missed the whole conversation about the "ant colony going on in your garage" topic. So, I came in near the end of it, my first thought was your garage became the new local ant hill and then when you replied that they had overalls, hat, handerchief, thats when the light went off and I thought, she must have a little craft shop and making wooden/plywood ant lawn ornaments in said attire..So with your recent reply, am I correct to think that the ants have invaded your garage..or am i really off the page here? Any clarification would be appreciated..thanks..;)

Oh great, I had some studying these days so I totally forgot about it. Count me in.

p.s.I just wanted to wrote something about how my house got invaded by ants these days when I noticed small bastard (God bless his soul) walking on my keyboard... well, he's not walking any more, that's for sure :cool:
