Exte Ondo?
Anyone know?
I currently pronounce it Ekst OnDoe
I feel like I'm pronouncing it very incorrectly though.

I believe that it is Basque so therefore the x is a sh-sound making it: aysh-tay ohn-doh (the e is a long-a sound and the o is a long-o sound).
But, then, I'm American and can barely prounounce simple english words.

I was wondering the same thing myself so I looked it up on the internet. According to Cadencecycling.com, it's pronounced "ett-shay on-doe". But I think Adventure Girl had it more accurately pegged at "ĭk-spěn'sĭv"...

The tx phonetic is equivalent to a hard "ch" in English, like the first ch of church. Basque vowels are pronounced more or less most other latin vowels, although final o's can tend to have a shortened u sound. So the e is like "eh" or "ay", and the o is like "oh".
Etxe means house and is a common root of many common Spanish surnames like Echevarria. Ondo means good or well.

I've got another one - I was watching a reply of some Paris - Nice coverage last night and the Aussie commentator said co-fi-dis, whereas I had thought (maybe from tdf coverage) that it was cof-i-dis.
