Haven't posted in a couple of days because my last 2 rides have been horrible.

Tuesday evening I got nipped by a dog. Not a big nip and the dog has had all it's shots. Fortunately I know the owner and he feels really bad. Not really his fault. The dogs were behind an electric fence but I used his driveway to turn around. Didn't know about the dogs or the fence. I asked him to put up a sign.

Wednesday evening we were riding by a friend's house. Her husband was in poor health. An ambulance and police car were sitting out front. When both are there, that means one thing. So I went in the back door and he had died while she was at the grocery. Family hadn't arrived yet so I stayed and sent Meg on.

Oh no, Susan. You DID have two very terrible rides. Two extremes- terror and extreme sadness. I'm so sorry for your friend's husband passing. What a terrible thing to come upon. I hope she'll be alright.
The next ride has to be better...
Thinking of you... :)

Wow, pretty heavy stuff to go through. :(
Things will get much better now.
Feel good about how you were able to comfort your friend in her time of need.

{{{{{{HUG}}}}}} for you! What terrible things to go through. I hope the next ride is a wonderful one for you. At least you can be comforted knowing that you were there when your friend needed you - if you had not been on a bike ride, you may not have known until much later.

best wishes to you as you heal and to your friend as she heals. It was a good thing that you were there to help.

I was very glad to have happened along for her. She has done similarly for me in the past.

I'm sorry Susan that your ride stunk. Also give my regards to your friend. The fire dept. has been at my house too much lately as well(when my dad was ill). I know how she feels. Jenn
