I have this urge to go camping, and for some reason, I feel like I need cargo pants in order to do this. NEEEEED. Those soft to the touch khaki cargo types. Some pockets on the thighs that don't make you look like a wide-load, a little low-rise, maybe a little flare to the legs or the type you can roll up to the knee. No cropped/capri types tho (I'm short and stumpy as it is, don't need the clothes to help with that).
What are your favorite brands or places to look? So far, it's looking like I need to make a trip to Old Navy?

I've had good luck with Cabelas and Woolrich on-line. I really like Cabelas. They hem the pants depending on the pair you order. The styles are attractive, prices are fair, and all of the cargos I've ordered fit well. Check it out!

Land's End has a few good pairs, and they are usually pretty quick with the delivery. Everything that I buy from Old Navy seems to fall apart pretty quickly and need replacing so I'm trying to avoid buying their clothes even though they are quite cheap.

Costco!! I just got my daughter a few pairs of cargo shorts and capris and they have some cute stuff there. :D I think they were all under $20, too.
Edited to say...I totally skimmed your post and thought you were looking for shorts and capris. Ooops!! Costco still might have some pants, though. :)

I have those exact pants you described. Unfortunately, Prana does not make them anymore. I stocked up when they did. I have about five pair in different colors that I got multiple years. One year they had a tasteful pice of ribbon sewed on the bottom, another they did this ribbon of stamping that kind of looked like a henna tattoo. I don't see them on their website anymore. Maybe some of the others would interest you...

I don't know, I wouldn't recommend prana clothes if you're only option is to order offline, i have always had problem with fit from them and they tend to fall apart, but i guess i wear them too hard (they're made for climbing, why do they fall apart when i climb?). I do like some of their tanks though.

for cargo pants I have Old Navy ones that I love. They are low-rise and comfy. I'm very particular about the low rise and making me look good and not frumpy. I got mine last year, but they may still have them.
Otherwise they aren't cargo cargo pants but I LOVE these: http://www.backcountry.com/store/TNF2092/The-North-Face-Paramount-Porter-Pant-Womens.html?id=Qo2BXXnS they have them as convertible or just regular pants.

Columbia!! I love these pants. They have that soft, been worn feel from the start, and can be rolled up if desired. I can't remember the style, but I'm sure you can find them. Try Campmor.com.
Good luck!!!!
