Hey grrls!
Yeah, I know... I've been absent the board for a while. Had some stuff going on that I had to take care of. Here's (part of) the scoop"
As some of you know, I REALLY hated my job. I moved to CA and ended up taking a position in my old field because... well because I needed to eat.
Mid May it became more than I could bear... so I quit.
All along I've been tying to get in (entry level) to graphic design or something comparably creative, but with no "resume" experience had no luck.
Out of the blue AND the day after I'd quit, I get a call from a small firm I'd applied to. Interviewed and bingo, got the job! It is entry level so the $$ is very short but after 2 weeks there I feel invigorated.
The downside to my happy story happened last week... my landlord decided to raise the rent. It is now officially out the "practicality" and "comfort" zone, especially with the cut in pay.
Soooo, if anyone knows of a place (preferably in Oakland) where me a my pooch can throw down our doggie beds and chew toys, please let me know. Quid is a very very good hous-dog and I'm pretty well behaved as well (in case any TE'ers have a property they'd like to rent) I need (minimum) a 1 bedroom or a good-sized (700sqft) lofty thingy. $1100 is my absolute top... otherwise nobody eats.
