I have a heck of a time finding clothes (everyday clothes) that will fit a "women's" body. Last summer I found a brand at REI (my Nordstrom) called Aventura, bought a cute skirt...and it fit great and comfy. Over the winter I found a vest I liked, happened to be the same brand. This summer I went to the big sale a few weeks ago and found the same skirt in a different pattern still fit great. Tried on a pair of their capris...fit great and comfy!
Super cute stuff, get compliments all the time on them and they fit great!

I think they are a branch of Sportif. Anyways I have a heck of a time finding clothes that are cute and can fit my big childbearing hips with out making them the focal point. I usually wear a 10/12 and can fit into a 10 just fine in these.
Hope this helps some lost clothing soul out there... I know I am lost most of the time. -Nic

I just had to buy pants for my new job. I have a hard time finding chinos or twills that don't make me look like I have even bigger hips and thighs than I already do.

Went to Coldwater Creek in desperation (I need GROWN UP pants, not "see the top of my thong underwear" teenager pants!) and found their "Aspen" chinos fit nicely. Not too gappy at the waist, cover my underwear (but still below my belly button), and roomy enough at the hips. Spandex in the fabric, too.

Hey, I like these! I'm not sure how many of these will fit me since I normally take petite sizes, but I'll definitely have a look - this is my style of clothing for sure. Thanks for the pointer!

Wow, nice site, I really like their skorts! I to have a problem trying to find clothes that fit right, with a small waist and fuller hips it's awful. Thank you for the link, I've already ordered a few things!

cute!!!

Has anyone ordered/bought one of their dresses? I really need dresses for summer, along with shirts. I'm tall so shirts tend to expose more than I want midriff-wise and dresses can be fairly short.

I'm at that awkward stage where I'm too old for "teen/young adult" clothes (and they are starting to not fit well anyway) and too young to be matronly. It's a difficult task to find clothes sometimes!

Hey, we're all too young to be matronly! LOL ;)

I'm having to sit on my hands (well, okay, that's hyperbole) to stop from ordering stuff. I see several things I'd love to wear when I go to Hawaii -- but I'm not going until September and I'm hoping to be in a smaller size by then!

And we all know the risk of ordering smaller assuming it will fit. Gulp.

Ooooh, those clothes would be perfect for Hawaii! How long will you be there? Fun...I have yet to go and heard it is absolutely wonderful.

Starfish, when does matronly happen? It scares me. It seems like not all that long ago I could shop in any store in the mall and be ok but now I feel a bit out of place. I honestly feel like someone is going to put their arm around me kindly and direct me to the pull-on polyester pants department. They will dress me in lime green with some kind of sequined baggy top.

This is the thing...matronly never has to happen!! We will all age, for sure...but, become matronly? No way! :p

Thanks for sharing!

From another woman who has large hips/thighs and smaller waist . . .

Exactly! My step-mom is 66 and really hip -- she dresses better than I do (I'm 46), but not "too young". I am actually not sure where she shops, but it's probably more expensive places than I dare to tread. She always looks great and is fit, slender, and healthy. A great role model!

Nope I haven't ordered one of their dresses....not to say that I won't by the time I log off today. I wore the capri's with the ribbon tie last night to a casual outdoor function with a white v-neck T and jean jacket, pair of Chacos on my feet and I felt great!
All I can say is super comfy, nice looking and fully functionable!

I wish I could wear clothes like that to my new job! (but I won't complain... really I won't. I have 2 pair of pants now that I can wear there, all is good.)

Order done! I ordered a sundress and crochet wrap. We have two sets of season theatre tickets and we go to Sunday matinee shows. I have a lot of dress-up things but this combo seems perfect for summer afternoons :D

nic840, thanks for the link and info!

I wonder if they are noticing a sudden upsurge in their web orders?! Nic, they should be paying you commission! :D

I got the dress and the sweater!

The dress fits perfectly. I'm a size 10 but it's a "depending on the designer and if I've been exercising" size 10. I ordered a size 10 dress and it zips up with room to spare :D It isn't overly big (ie I wouldn't go down a size) and any I see under the dress are my own fault.

The sweater, which is a crocheted wrap, fits. I got a medium but maybe should have ordered a large. It is form fitting but I think it is supposed to be a bit looser? It'll work though.

Awesome! I think it is time to get more clothes.
