Pda?

Does anyone here use a pda? Any recommendations? I am looking at slightly used one's on ebay. I just need to be more organized now that I am running not only my house but our business. I have all these things I need to remember. I would use my comp but I can't always bring it with me.
Anyone have one they would like to sell maybe?

I use a treo 700 phone/PDA. I have been using Palm Pilots for abut 10 years, and probably 6 years ago switched to the phone/email ones. Having remote email is critical for me as I can respond immediately to clients.

I used to love my filofax with post it notes and everything stuck in it, and thought I would never give it up to switch to some geeky electric device. Now I can't imagine not having one.

I use a Palm and love it.....I can sync the handheld to my desktop and always have all of my contacts and appts., whether sitting at my desk or out and about with the PDA. I would love a combo phone/pda with e-mail capability (similar to what Maillotpois described) but I can't justify the expense.....As a stay-at-home Mom, I have no clients to keep in touch with (other than a 16 year old who THINKS I work for her). :D

I have an old Handspring Visor (I don't think Handspring is even around anymore...they folded into the Palm/Treo line, I think). I use it as a phone book, calendar, shopping list maker, and for playing Solitaire on Metro. I have a keyboard attachment for it when I used to take notes with it at meetings, but I don't use it for that anymore.
It doesn't have email or phone capabilities and it's rather bulky by today's standards, but it serves me fine.

I've got a Palm Tungsten E that's a few years old. Like Regina, I use it for my phone/address book, personal calendar (not work stuff), and playing hearts.

I really like having a rechargeable PDA rather than one that has replaceable batteries. With the rechargeable, it shuts down when the battery is low and you don't lose any info. If replaceable batteries die, you have to resynch with your computer to get the info back; if you haven't backed up the PDA to your computer in a while you can lose information.

I have a Palm Z22. It's a basic model, and I carry it in a rhino case that clips to my pocket and holds credit cards.

I like it a lot because it's really easy to use and doesn't cost a whole lot. It has been a lifesaver for me this baseball season while I get the league off the ground. But I think I might have gotten a Blackberry for the phone, etc., if they hadn't been so expensive.

The Z22 was about $100, and there are a lot of applications that work with it. I especially like SplashShopper, which manages shopping lists. The only drawback was that I was using Google calendar, and I have to run the calendar through Airset.com to get it the Palm OS, so I just don't use Google calendar anymore. That's a bummer because all my kids do, and so would my husband if we all did.

I use the basic Palm Z222 also. If I had decided I needed one when I got my last cell phone, I probably would have gotten something similar to MPs so I wouldn't have multiple electronic devices to carry around. But otherwise, it's great.

I tried a pda. Still love my old 'Franklin Planner'. I like having that paper/hard copy to look at. I guess I started with that generation and its always worked for me.

I have had about 14 Palms over the course of the last 10 years. I currently have a Palm Tungsten that I've had for 4 years.

I briefly tried a Treo, but found that it's phone features were stripped down, it's pda features were stripped down and the size wasn't well suited to my needs.

If you're just looking for basic calendar/phone book functions, I recommend you get a low end model. If you're looking for spreadsheet capabilities or a lot of add on programs, you'll need the memory offered by a more expensive model.

I tried a pda and don't use one anymore. I need to see the week and month views, not just one day at a time. (the month views are not big enough to see the details)

I use a Blackberry for work, and have a Palm T/X for personal stuff (had that before the blackberry, and prefer to keep some separation). Email following one everywhere has upsides and downsides (do I really want to know if someone wants something on Sunday afternoon??)

wow lots of good advise there. I don't want to carry a day runner cause it is heavy and I always travel with my phone and a camera and books(you get the picture) so a pda would be light er then paper for me. I think I am going to go for a used one on ebay. Then I am not sinking a lot of money into something I don't know a lot about.

I live and die by my outlook appointments so I use a smart phone. I have used a few different ones over the years. I'm currently using Verizons Windows Mobile PN 820.

I don't need all the features of a blackberry so this is perfect for me. It's just a phone w/ my calender, contacts and to do list. It's tiny enough to slip in my pocket like a regular cell phone but the screen is clear enough and big enough for me to navigate through appointments.

I'd be lost without it.

My first PDA was The Apple Newton. I've got a box full of them and software, but you can get the software online for free. My Tungsten T3 w/my wifi card is the ultimate, but the M100 and PalmVx outshines them all.

I've gone through more screen protectors an stylus than the actual device. hilarious!
