I absolutely love the Brooks B-18. Does anyone have one?
I am wondering if they are more for just looks, or would it be good for longer rides such as centuries? I have looked at all the sites and would really like to hear from someone who has actually placed their butt on one!:)

The B18 is very similar to the B66/67/68. (actually, also the B72)

I think it's a gorgeous saddle, but too expensive for me. I ride B67, and love the fit and comfort. I've done 50+mile days with no butt problems at all. (Mimitabby has done much longer rides on her B67s, and has one that is 30 years old!)

If you mesh well with any of the B6x series or the B72, I'd go for it! (and if you order it from www.wallbike.com you have 6 months no-questions-asked to try it out.)

Some of my friends have these; I have heard no complaints! (and they ride big miles)

Thanks for the advice. I may just order one from wallbike, what do I have to lose?

Is it really losing $124 then? Or is it gaining a priceless bike seat?

wallbikes has a 6 month return policy, so i don't see how you're losing the $$

Oh, my. You know how there is a trend for upper-middle-class women to get diamond bracelets from their husbands after they give birth? (I believe they are called "push presents," which is just the grossest thing ever, but I digress.) Apparently the guys at the bike shop are convincing my husband that he really needs to buy me a B-18 for my new black mixte. You know, as a thank you for the swollen ankles and the labor and delivery and all that.

I have no argument to make against that notion.

ugh. a saddle is definitely a better "push present" barf.

I saw a B18 on a restored Schwinn today! Lovely bike, and the saddle was just gorgeous and a perfect match! What a classic look!

(Push Presents, Right-hand Rings, what will the diamond dealers come up with next? sheeesh!)
