My husband would like to know if there are any other men going to Little Red Riding Hood with their wives who would like to get away and fish with him for the morning while we ride.
He laughed and said "no thanks" when I offered him as a volunteer for ride stations. He even declined after I mentioned that there would be 1000+ women there in spandex. He really likes to fish :D He also really knows where his eyes belong!!
PM us if you are interested. He is a great guy, 37 years old, pharmacist, fly fisher.

Thanks - Mrs. Flybye

I think he should take a day off fly fishing and be there for you at this event. You live in Idaho, fly fishing is rampant in Idaho (isn't it?)!

I gotta say though, fly fishing is a beautiful thing. It's the ballet of fishing.

What? He's supposed to stand around twiddling his thumbs for several hours? Isn't a women's only ride all about becoming self-sufficient? Able to do it on your own? Building confidence in your own abilities? Enjoying the rapport of other women cyclists?

I can just imagine what Bubba would say if I asked him to stand around "projecting" emotional support while I rode a century or even drive SAG (except as an official volunteer).

Emotional support can be provided from a trout stream just as well as from a parking lot.

flybye, I was finally able to talk to Bubba. While he'd love to go fishing he has to stay flexible to deal with his mom. She's turning 97(or is it 96?) this July, lives by herself, and matters have finally come to a point where the BIG discussion has to take place. His older sis from Florida is flying in today and starting to assess the situation. This isn't going to be a fun and jollies trip for him. He's taking a bike so he can get away and ride, maybe even the LRRH course but he has to stay flexible to change plans.

BTW, the photo of him and the other "hotties" I was referring to was of the Madison High Science Club and taken 40 years ago. At least he decided that it must have been the science club because of, in his words, all the geeks.:p

I was thinking more along the lines of volunteering at sign in, rest stops, etc.
