Never too early to find the right shorts for my first century ride in September.
I just received two pairs of shorts from Performance: Their Women's Elite and Women's Ultra.
Women's Elite: These shorts were very long, a 9" inseam, which brought them to just above my knees. I like something with the leg a little shorter than that (but not too short - a 6" or 7" inseam is long enough). The real problem was the waistband, which was really high! I didn't like that at all.
Women's Ultra: I liked the wicking fabric. The inseam and waistband were comfortable. So, I wore them on a 26 mile ride. Before we were even half-way through the ride, my tender bits were irritated. By the end of the ride, I was absolutely burning. Not good. I might try a smaller size, but i really don't know if that's going to make a difference.
Always looking for recommendations. I'm watching for the Castelli YPro Donna to go on sale somewhere.
