My current cal-mag/vit D is a 1-1 ratio of cal-mag. I went to pick up some more and see that there is also 2-1 ratio. Anyone know which one is preferable?
Hi, KG
The cal-mag I have is 2:1; but also has zinc. I wish I could find where I read it, but this combination is the best muscle relaxant. Also look for calcium citrate or elemental calcium if you have any problem with dairy.

Mine is also a 2:1 ratio with vit. D. I picked mine up at a local health food store. The brand is Solaray, if that helps any.
I took three before I started out on the century this morning and three more after lunch. My legs never showed the signs of fatigue they have on past centuries - was it the Ca-Mg/vit D capsules or the good lunch or a combination? I don't know but I do know my legs felt very strong all day - a blessing given the terrain we covered today.

I know I don't need as much Calcium as a woman. But recently, acupuncturist suggested that I start with Mag powder in response to my severe neck issues last month. I've liked it.
However, a question on Zinc. If I take a Zinc supplement, I taste metal constantly. Does this mean that I already have enough in my diet without the supplement?
