Ok, so I don't know if "epic" is the word I would use here, but I've spent the last two weekends riding in the mountains and I wanted to share pictures from my new tiny-fits-in-your-jersey-pocket, but cheap-and-not-high-quality camera. My friends' faces and other identifying details have been smudged for privacy. The first ride DH and I did before my friends' wedding rehearsal. It was a 25 mile ride with 2400 ft. of climbing, the most climbing I've ever done in one day, with a min. elevation of 8139 ft. and a max of 9139 ft. I was pretty slow, it was my first time riding at altitude, but it was beautiful and so worth it:

This past weekend was a half century event up in Buena Vista, we started at 7,900 ft., climbed up to about 9,200 ft. with a few ups and downs, then we turned around and flew back. This ride was awesome, I felt great, and it helped having my friends' wheels to suck on :D (yes, I pulled some too!) :

This was no Triple Bypass, Bicycle tour of Colorado, or Ride the Rockies, I don't think I'm up for those yet, but I'm aiming to do the century route of this event next year. You ladies who do BTC and RTR are my heroes!

WOW! How beautiful. I can't imagine riding somewhere that beautiful.

I love how the faces are blurred out... I feel like I was viewing pictures from a police blotter or something! HA!

Great job on riding with all that climbing!

Wow- those pictures are simply amazing!!! I LOVE all the beauty around you in the mtns. Breathtaking!!!! How do you manage not to crash- all that beauty around would make me spend more time looking around than at the road. :p

The blurred faces- creepy. Looks like their skin is melting off their skull. I understand why you did it- but it's really weird looking.

Thanks for posting your pics and the details of your ride. I, too, climb elevation frequently. My usual rides have me going anywhere from 30-250 feet elevation- hee hee  We don't have much climbing around here- I'd really die up there for sure!!!
