Does anyone know anything about KHS bikes? Is it a good road bike?

KHS bikes are definitely a good bike and one worth looking at! They tend to be great values for the money, and like everything in life, you can always find something nicer but will it be something that you can compare apples to apples with?

In a nutshell, nice bikes, great value and great customer service!

interesting, the lower priced model has a steel fork and the more expensive ones have carbon!

A KHS was the first bike I had when I started riding! As an adult, that is. I never had problems with it and the price was very reasonable. The KHS rep was really great too.

I had a mountain bike (hard tail) with a steel frame. That thing did everything! I ended up putting commuter tires on it and I did centuries :D My favorite comment ever was some roadie saying "such a heavy bike for a girl" or something like that. I ended up passing him as he was pushing his ultra-light road bike up a hill!

Anyway, that bike was awesome and I would not hesitate in buying another.

There's a KHS Flight 500 on Ebay - I believe its a 2003 - yellow - looks new except for a dent in the top bar - they have a starting price of $300 or buy it now $325.00 ----- Do you think this is a fair price? Can't find info on the Flight 500. Thanks. Nancy

Is this the bike you're looking at:

That's a pretty substancial dent in the top tube. But steel can take a lot of abuse, and besides if your LBS decides it's a bad dent they can either repair it, or transfer the components to another frame.

The price is pretty good. Is it the right size for you?

Went back to look at it, and someone already bought it. Were you the one who bought it?

Not sure if anyone is still looking for this bike... but I have one here as well. it's also yellow with back trim and is a 2003 or 2004 model. It is in excellent shape, has a Shimano Sora 8 speed group... let me know if anyone is still looking! OOPS! size is 54cm

Hello

Actually I am simply working on this bike for a friend who wants to downsize her stable of bikes. Anyway, she is asking $375 for it, of course shipping would be extra. If you are interested, let me know and I'll have her post a picture.
