Oh, great... now they come in "glow in the dark."

I just can't keep a straight face.

Oh, dear.

It's not that I'm at a loss for words, I just don't know where to start.

I absolutely must have one of these. Glow in the dark, of course.

I have one of these! Not the glow in the dark one, unfortunately.
I use it to take bananas to work, but it's most important function is to entertain my colleagues if it's a slow day :D

Well....for the flashing blinkie lights and turn signals, of course! Don't want any traffic accidents, mind you. VrooOOOOOM....

They obviously have the "G" thing covered pretty well. :p

I am pretty sure they cannot sell those in Texas. We have a law against selling things they deem immoral. :p :p

Two summers ago I went to a 3 day bike event by the Toronto Bicycling Club and they gave those away as door prizes. I didn't win one, but decided I had had to have one and they were only available in Canada. The shipping was a lot! But I actually love it for the fact that it works never realizing the implications of it! It keeps my bananas from getting pulverized!

C'mon, what's Fonzie like?

YOLANDA

JULES

we're gonna be, we're gonna be cool.

Where do you put the battery??

This from the Banana Guard Website:

Q: "Is there a battery attachment?"

A: No. The Banana Guard was designed for its intended purpose only as a device to prevent banana trauma during transport.

Q: "Not all bananas are the same size or shape, so how can the Banana Guard fit them all?"

A: The Banana Guard was specially designed to accommodate the majority of banana sizes. Our testing indicates that over 90% of commercially available bananas will fit into the Banana Guard. Highly curved bananas can be straightened ever-so-slightly without harm to fit the Banana Guard shape. The opposite holds true of very straight bananas.

So it's a one size fits all kinda thing? Hmmm, I dunno. That has never worked for me. I guess I'd have to be more precise and selective in choosing my bananas. Imagine standing there in the market with a tape measure and a protractor checking over the bananas. How many interesting stares do you think one would get? :D

Well, it would be better than bringing one of those *&^%$ things into the grocery store to size your bananas!

It keeps my bananas from getting pulverized!Oh, I dunno', I think pulverizing bananas is loads of fun. Twice in one ride is even better.

I'm just happy it prevents premature ripening. Nothing worse than a banana being done before you're ready for it

Okay, some friends bought this Banana Bunker for DH for babysitting their dog one day. As a joke, of course (I HOPE!). I don't even want it in the house. I searched the site, and this looks different than the one that was posted before (unless I missed something). I think this is even worse! I have not found a banana that will even fit in it - the "ribbed for pleasure" area looks bendy, but isn't very flexible at all - the lid would pop off easier.

I think the ribbed part is to expand for your longer...bananas.
I want one of those.

ROTFL! Thanks for a good laugh. I'd be too embarrased to pull that out in public. As it is, I can't eat a banana without Dh sniggering. Better to deal with a mushy banana.

There's nothing like hearing your son say "whatttt is thatttt??"; "Don't worry son, it's just something you use to protect your banana"...and I always said "TE is a safe place!":)

Like stiger, thx for the laugh of the day. :D

I never quite understood banana protectors that have been around for ages. Guess some people are real fussy about their banana(s). :p

Why not design one for..lovely mangoes or peaches? OK, we won't go there now. :o:p

I've actually seen "Frootguards" (can't remember the name for sure) for apples, pears, etc. at the kitchen store on Granville Island. Not quite as cool as the banana guard though.

What if the banana is too big for the keeper?
