Anyone know of any shorts that are lightly padded up front? Now that I'm doing longer rides, I'm having issues with the padding in the front of my shorts getting mashed into the girly bits. Very uncomfortable.:( I can ride with no padding for rides less than 20 miles. In fact, there's absolutely no pressure on the bits when I'm riding in regular pants/shorts. But for long rides I want the extra padding for my sit bones that I get with padded cycling shorts.

My Ibex capris have very little padding in the front. In fact, at first that was a little unnerving, cuz all my other shorts have lots of padding in front.
Try taking a look at their website for a pic of the chamios. It's one made in Italy that a lot of brands are using right now (Terry does, too, i think)

I'd be interested in finding a short that is lightly padded on the front, but doesn't skimp on the back also. I couldn't find a pic of the padding inside the ibex road short though, did I miss it?

Thanks Knot. I did try DH's Ibex tights on my last ride. Definitely lightly padded up front. At the time I was wondering if that was a men's chamois thing. I was liking the front of those but the chamois wasn't quite wide enough for me in back. I'll have to try the women's to see if it's wider back there.

I have the monster-wide sitbones, and the women's medium has enough pad to reach each sit-bone.
Meridian, no pics. Sorry. I'll see if I find any elsewhere. It is very similar to the new "flex" chamois in Terry shorts.
Same here.
I'm going so nuts trying to buy a pair of cycling shorts its taken me five days so far. I usually end up deciding I've spent too much time on the computer and give up.

I'm not sure if this is the same thing or not...
I have a new pair of capri length novara shorts(pants?) - lathered up with chamois butter & rode, and the chamois stuck to me. By the end of a 25mile ride, I was downright numb up front, had to stand to get bloodflow to return, and the shorts were so stuck to my body I couldn't make adjustments on the road. Owie! The last 4 miles was a struggle - I haven't tried them again to figure out why I had the problem, my first ride w/ same setup did not end that way.
