Yep. Trek420 was right. I need to get a Bike Friday :D
One of the gals at my workshop has her Friday with her, all the way from Canada, and rode it up from downtown to the campus this morning (quite a climb!). After today's program she let me take a little spin on it. Wheeeee! Straight up a little hill, even though her crank is kinda wonky on the left side (needs some repairs, long story she says, which she'll maybe tell me later). So now I guess I have to start saving for a Friday, the better to ride with TE ladies when I travel here and there.

Or a standard road bike with S&S couplers...

Maybe even your current bike (if it's steel or Ti) could be retrofit with couplers.

Hmmmm. There's an idea. My "old" bike (just 7 years, but older than my new one, obviously) is steel, plain round tubing. But I wonder if anyplace here in town would do a rebuild like that. I might have to ship it as is to CA and get it fitted with couplers there. Could work, though. Worth looking into.
