I feel a bit self-conscious  :o :( - tried my new tri short on. I intend to wear this (and only this) for the race - swim, bike & run.

note my complete absence of boobage due to the high compression odlo bra, which I don't mind. Note the belly due to complete absence of situps in my training, which I do . And I was standing up straight.:(
OK maybe the race number will cover up a bit :D
Note my biker tan which I like

I think that you can race in that...why not? I see lots of women racing in tops and shorts like that....
Lack of boobage, I have that affliction too!

Haha, I have that problem, and thats without any compression bra!
I think you should go for it. Once you're racing you won't even remember that you were worried because you'll be so focused!
I don't think you guys know what lack of boobage means!!
This being said, this is a great outfit for racing.

swimming is a better abdominal workout than any sit ups.

looks great!! You'll fit in with many others on race day (and really, nobody looks at you anyway- except maybe the onlookers- but who cares because you're out there doing it and they're not).
I WISH I could have lack of boobage. Mine just form the dreaded uniboob spare tire when I race. And I also wish I had a belly that flat! My gut has grown from far too many bowls of ice cream this winter...
Really- you look great!!! Took a lot of courage to post that and get our feedback- so kudos to you!!! Enjoy the race (when is it again?)
I WISH I could have lack of boobage.
Just wanted to clarify:
I much appreciate my lack of boobage. It makes sports much more enjoyable, and I can hug people closer to my heart. :)

Take a look at my pics in my "who's racin" thread... I had all kinds of "over flow", but I needed to be comfy in my race so I said the heck with it! Today was hot. I used to try to hide all my jiggly bit's, but I think I've come to terms with my body. It is what it is. If people want to judge me then whatever. Race in what you want to. Your an athlete, flaunt it! :)
And fwiw- I think you look GREAT!!!!!
Denise
Alpinerabbit - you look GREAT! There is no need to even question whether you can race in that!! Your tummy is as flat as mine has ever been, and you look race ready and raring to go!
Enjoy your fitness, how good it makes you look and how good it makes you feel! Let others be envious when they look at you! :)
Hugs & butterflies,

Definitely wear that outfit! You llok great!!
If I had a nice flat belly like yours I would wear something similar! As it is- I am not sure what I will wear- the last sprint tri I did, I wore my bathing suit with tri shorts over top and then threw on a t-shirt for the bike and run. (I was not terribly efficient by the way)

Heck yeah! You look fine. If you're really worried, throw a tri-top or fitted technical t in your bag and decide on the fly whether you really need it. I don't think you do, but sometimes jitters make us think otherwise. :)
I like your bike tan. I am just starting to get mine, and I realised I'm wearing a sleeveless top in a summer wedding in August, so I'm going to have to find some sleeveless bike jerseys and tops for running. If my chest and back are pasty, that can be dealt with, but my arms would be really obvious. ;)
Denise, you look good in your pictures, I love your top!
If you are comfortable in it, then go for it. Lack of boobage? Looks like you had some boobs to me.
Overall, you look great! Thin, but healthy.
It's all about what you feel good racing in, and if they don't like it... they don't have to look. :p
This all makes me wonder...
Why does a woman have to say a few negative things about her body - as if preparing against eventual deprecating comments from others - when she posts pictures of herself? It's not just Alpine Rabbit's. I mean, every time one of us posts us pictures, we add something like: 'Don't mind the fat on my thighs' or 'I know I don't look good in this but...' etc.
And you know what? We all look good, athletic, and above all happy. Why bother?

You look great! Wear that if it's comfortable for you.
Grog, I agree
I am in the (un)fortunate position to be able to look back a few years at a fitter me and assess....
At the time I enjoyed how I looked and felt and performed athletically, but there was always a "but". I wanted a flatter belly, my muscles weren't defined enough, etc. I thought I was making an objective assesment thinking that I was maybe at 70% of the fitness I could have without it being a full time job.
Fast forward to today with a health condition that is keeping me from any meaningful exercise. I wish for that flat belly, those strong legs, those well defined shoulders and arms. When I think on it now, I was probably 90-95% of the fitness I could attain without training full time.
My only regret is that I didn't accept that, celebrate it and enjoy it without any reservations!
Alpinerabbit looks very fit. Of course there is always more any of us can do, but no matter where you are, you need to celebrate it!!
Hugs and butterflies,

Wear it and wear it proud! I think you look awesome. As for the belly (which you don't really have), my sister who is the same height as me at 5'6" and 97 pounds won't eat prior to wearing anything tight fitting or revealing. Her belly protrudes when she eats because she is so tiny, it has no where to hide.:p Me on the other hand at almost 20 pounds heavier than her scoffs at the idea of missing out on an opportunity to fuel my body.
