Hi, I'm new. And you ladies look like you might have the answers I need.
I've been riding the Terry Butterfly Tri for about 6 months now, and I love it...except it's too wide for my narrow hips. So wide, it makes my cycling shorts ride up and cause excruciating pain. I love the cutaway of the saddle, but cannot stand how wide it is.
If I like the Terry Butterfly Tri, but need something narrower, what would you ladies suggest?
If I can't do 15 miles on this saddle, however will I do 112 miles in September?
Thanks in advance!

I love my Terry Liberator Ti Race Gel. It's considered unisex. I bought it as a narrower alternative to the Liberator Gel.

you may want to check out the SADDLE section for more info ... have you measured your sitbones? that would help you decide on a saddle -- many choices, especially when you know your sitbone size.
personally, i know what i need for sitbone size, i like a cut-out, a T-shaped saddle, and a narrower nose -- then i start looking and trying.

If you go to the Terry site, and click into their saddles, dimensions are given for all of their saddles. You probably want one of the saddles that is not as wide in the back. The Butterfly Tri is 6.1", therefore you want smaller than that. The Damselfly is 5.1", the Firefly is 5.5" and the Liberator Race/Gel is 5.8". All of their saddles have the cut-out.

I have a really dumb question.
I've never heard of a sit-bone wide saddle making shorts ride up. But I have heard of a saddle set too high making you "saw" across the seat and causing all sorts of ruckus.
So, my dumb question: is your saddle set up too high and making you "saw" or "rock" just enough to cause trouble?
Not-so-dumb-question: which is causing you pain, a too-wide nose or a too-wide sitbone perch? ( a too-wide nose/too gradual nose-to-perch transition would rub on the insides of your thighs or where your butt folds and becomes your thigh)
