College Jersey

Have any of ya'll seen the college jerseys? DH attended the University of Tennessee and we just found out that they have college jerseys! I've never seen anbody wear one, but we are thinking about them and since I'm a prior Razorback I'm thinking about getting one.

I wear one often (as does DH), it is a great conversation piece. Mine is actually from the Cycling team at the University and looks much better than the stuff a lot of places sell. The reason is better in our case is a lot of companies just cannot get the maroon right. I have done group rides where several former students stop me to ask where they can get one. :D

Silver and I have matching jerseys from THE University of Alabama (not to be confused with other universities in Alabama). We even occassionally wear them in Indiana.

BUT, that "Rocky Top Orange" ...eek!:p

I think you need to contact each cycling club unless the jersey is mass produced. I know we found one for DH's school and we're going through the president of the cycling club. I think it's a way for the team to make a bit of money and it is a true team jersey. The poor guy doesn't even know what to charge yet, we contacted him saying "hey, can we buy one of these?" and he has one in DH's size!

On thing, if you go through the school you might be able to get the matching shorts as well. My husband and I were able to get the whole kit and A&M sells it to the general public. They also have matching socks for sale.

It broke my Dad's heart when I declined my acceptance to UT in favor of A&M. But seriously, the UT cycling team is a very nice group and I encounter them on many organized rides.

Buying from the team (if it is an option) supports the team. I think A&M marks the jerseys up about $10-15. It is not a lot but these club sports usually don't get much (if anything) from the university.

Popular down here along w/ Auburn(guy in my bike club has an Auburn jersey). I'm sandwiched between Auburn and UGA and Ga Tech. I'm a bulldog :D

For those of us with curves, it seems "they" only make men's cut. If I'm going to spend that kind of money, I want a jersey bottom to stay down while I'm riding and not wind up around my waist. grumble, grumble, grumble.

I tried looking for women's jerseys, then college, and wound up where I started.:mad:

My husband has an ASU jersey, he got from Nashbar. Obviously they aren't interested in making women's cuts for any of these schools, even though I know they have women cycling teams. It's not just the curves; I am small and wear a women's x small. Can't do elastic bottoms, either, they just ride up. It's too bad, because I like the jersey and it's a conversation piece around here, where there aren't that many Sun Devils.
