So, I knew there had to be a Tour de France for the grrls, but, of course, never saw it on TV or any of the mags I occasionally pick up.
Then I heard good ole Bob Roll say there was a "Tour Feminine", but no other info was given. I found the actual 'official' site for the race at http://www.velo-feminin.com/ but it's only in French and seems to reference only 2003.
Does anybody have any links for this race that are in English?
Does the race still exist?
Thanks!

It wasn't held this year, alas.
But here's some info on the women's Giro d'Italia (Giro D'Italia Femminile) which was held around the same time as the Tour de France.

Thanks Pokey...er, jobob!
Any idea why it wasn't held?

I think even Bob said (with hand gestures) that they had trouble with finances and sponsorship and the ride was sporadicly held.

I missed that... and I was one of those scary TDF junkies you hear about at 12 step meetings.... watched each stage live in the morning, watched the afternoon replay, then watched the primetime coverage in the evening. Not to mention all bike publications (US & Europe) written in English.
Hey! I had to keep my stats sheet, and being slightly challenged in the memory department, it took all possible viewings to get my stage info :D
But, let me not be impolite... thanks for the info.
I'm in the process of collecting websites for as many of the major womens races (classic & stage) in US and Europe.
If anybody has one please email it to me. Thanks!
