I've been cycling for about a year and recently started training for long distance rides, so that I am cycling longer distances and spending significantly more time in the saddle than I have in the past. I've recently noticed some light bleeding/spotting in the "sensitive area" and wondered if this is a common problem. There is not really any pain, other than the soreness that tends to come at the end of a long ride. Any thoughts?

Not normal.

I trained for and rode three double centuries last year and no, not normal.

I agree with Veronica - not normal. You may want to have it checked out just to rule out anything unusual.

Silly questions mebbe... but is it actually from your vagina, or is it from some chaffing?

When I'm doing longer rides I will get either chaffing or sometimes those boils, bumps, in grown hairs - whatever they are, which will rupture and bleed. If what you have is an external problem I wouldn't worry about it. If however, it's an internal problem get to a doctor quickly. Bleeding is not a sympton to ignore!
