Went to the LBS to bring them a "thanks for lovin' us" six-pack. Was thinking of getting bike polish, and even if Pedros Bike Lust was more expensive than Lemony Fresh Pledge (the bike polish that apparently lots of folks use with good results) I was gonna buy it from them, just cuz I want to give them the profit.

Couldn't find bike polish, so I asked where it was hiding. LBS doesn't carry it! They recommend Armor All.

Went to one of the evil Box Stores and nabbed a jar of Armor All wipes for about $4.

Ooooh, they work nicely! The wipe is pretty soaked with Armor All, so I used a rag to wipe Flossie dry/polish her. I ended up polishing just about everything.

No lemony fresh smell, but she sure does sparkle!

Hmmmm, that's an idea... When I took my bike apart for it's first thorough cleaning earlier this year, I used Pedro's Bike Lust and a rag and was really pleased with how easy it was, and how pretty the bike ended up. Those wipes sound even easier, though.

I assume Armor All would also help to repel dust, wouldn't it?

Hmmmm

Good tip! DH tried stopping at LBS today to get Bike Lust, and they were closed. We don't even know if they carry it. Armour All wipes should be easy to find anytime. Yay! :D

Just keep it away from the rims, hear that it make them kinda slick   speaking of which now Menace badly needs a day at the spa after todays ride.

I used to use Pedros Bike Lust (lost custody of the bottle of spray). It may be sacrilege, but I think the Armor All was a little better. Not as watery and it seemed to polish up more.

One wipe did all of Flossie with Armor All to spare. I didn't do the wheels/tires/rims/saddle/bars, but I did darn near everything else and oooooh, is she purty! The LBS guys said it protects the bike well. We'll see if it repels dust and such, too!

The jar I have is orange and yellow and says: ArmorAll Original Protectant Wipes. 25 wipes in the jar.

I suppose any ArmorAll would work, this was what the store had. They did a very nice job on all 3 of the bikes in my household.

Just be a bit careful... Armor All'd my motorcycle seat one time... that was an interesting ride. Good thing I had strong quads to grip onto the tank when I took my first turn. I thought it was bad for paint though. Also, don't put it anywhere that your brakes touch or anything that relies on friction.

Says right on the jar not to use it on paint, but I did. I'll let y'all know if the paint peels off or something.

LBS has used it, so we'll just have to see how it all turns out.

But my bikes are shiney and purty, even the old Trek looks sparkly!
