I did a 15 mile roundtrip ride to get my hair cut, and when I got to the point where I needed to turn to go home, I just couldn't. It is a glorious day here, perfect 70ish temperature and sunny, so I just kept going on the path that parallels the creek and ended up 10 miles down the road at Lake Artemesia in College Park. Stopped at the restroom, filled the water bottle, ate a Luna bar, watched the fishermen and the ducks, and headed home. Once home, I actually cooked a real meal for lunch, and it was delicious! Now it's time to walk the dogs and cut the grass for the first time. Can't get enough of being outside.

35 amazingly enjoyable miles total. What a perfect day.

Headed out around 11 - the SUN is out!!! Had to keep telling myself to slow down, take it easy, RELAX. It was if my legs felt the need to sprint before the rain started again.

Got about 14 miles out and blew the back tire. :( Dern.

It wasn't pretty, it wasn't graceful, it wasn't fast and it wasn't without its moments of frustration and apologizing to the Girl for my incompetence but I changed it myself. First time ever. Grease everywhere but by jeezum I did it.

Decided to quit while I was ahead and return home. Need to wipe her down, lube her and check the tire more carefully to make sure everything is good to go for tomorrow.

20 miles (10 short of the scheduled route but I'll take it!)

Congrats on the tire change! NOW, you know how to do it for sure. Don't you feel empowered?

21.45 today... kinda taking it easy b/c I have a group ride tomorrow - about 50.

Felt good though.. .I finally got to wear the Tyr tri top I got from TE a few weeks ago. Didn't think it was gonna get cold on us when I ordered it! LOL

77degrees with a nasty headwind, folks... still - nice ride.

It was warm and sunny after school so DH and I decided to go for a ride and it ended up being a day of "firsts". We left without any plans as to where we'd go but ended up riding hard on our usual 40 k route and for the first time, I managed to stay with him the whole way, even on the hills. At the half way point, we decided to head downtown to climb Knox Mt. I got all the way up without stopping for the very first time (2.2 miles, 800' of climbing)! (It was actually my end of summer goal so now I guess I'll need to adjust that a little. :) Had wonderful 53 km ride in total. It's supposed to be warm and sunny all weekend so hope to put in a few more km,

Did just under 20 miles with husband, starting at around 2 PM. We decided to go slowly, since the day before we both felt tortured. We planned a route that took us into a slightly different area (Chelmsford) that I had only ridden on once before. It was pretty flat and mostly wooded, thought there was one busy part on the way back that you had to to be alert on. However, this was in an area that I know well from driving. On this ride, which was close to the area we used to live in when we came to MA, we went past the 4-H Fairgrounds and remembered how we had taken our kids there for a fair many years ago when we first moved back here. Then we rode by the house of a former babysitter. It seems like I've been doing a lot of "Remember when? thinking!
The temperature was a perfect 68 degrees and sunny. I started with arm warmers, but pushed them down after 5 miles. The only bad thing was I had to pee almost the whole way and there were no stores and the wooded areas were still in residential places. Didn't want to end up in the police log for public nudity....
