When do you bike/train morning, afternoon, evening? Do you ride every day no matter what??

Almost always after work during the week, and in the mornings on the weekends. I try to ride at least 3 days during the week and both days on the weekends (those are typically race days though). I WILL ride in the rain, but don't like to... I have spent WAY too many hours on the trainer this winter/spring.

Mornings for me. I went out in the afternoon on Easter (after the morning festivities), and I thought I would pass out from heat exhaustion! Usually it's Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

I ride most days. It rains so much in Oregon that I try to look out the window and find a break in the clouds before I take off on my ride, so I don't go at the same time every day. I've been rained on hard for several days in a row, so today I am taking my husband for his lab tests and a lunch out, then I will see if I can't ride in the early evening and not get so much rain. I get so tired of riding in my rain gear all the time and pedaling the bike through all of the water and battling the high winds. I would be so happy if I could just have one day with no rain and wind.

Twice during week (5:30 PMish)
And once or twice on the weekend--whenever I can fit it in.

whenever I can, being in school and working doesn't leave me with a normal schedule. Sometimes early morning, sometimes mid day, sometimes 5ish.
I try to get on the bike 5 days a week, a couple hours each day.
I do not ride if the winds are crazy(don't like being blown into traffic) or in the rain(here in florida, the drivers are sooo crazy it just isn't safe)

Once or twice during the week and both weekend days, weather permitting. Time of day? Afternoons when it is cold, but ridable; mornings when it gets really hot.

Evenings during the week, usually 2-3 days weather/energy levels permitting. I try to ride both weekend days, again weather permitting. If it's cold out, I ride late morning/early afternoon. When it's hot, the earlier the better, although making it to 8 a.m. club rides is a grind. I end up getting up earlier for those than I do for work.
I don't ride every day. I try to have at least one day of rest--usually Thursday or Friday. I usually do a recovery ride on Monday, too, assuming that I have ridden hard over the weekend. I also practice yoga and try to fit that at least once or twice a week. If the weather doesn't cooperate, I'm on my yoga mat more than the bike.

After work a couple of days a week, some on the weekends. Except when I have field trips or meetings. Then there isn't enough daylight!

Weekdays I'm out at the crack of dawn, 2 or 3 days a week, generally for about an hour before getting ready for work. I've been trying to incorporate intervals during my morning rides to get in some speed training.
Weekends are my long-distance rides, and fun rides with my friends - sometimes both combined :) .
I've been trying to shake off a cold, so I haven't been doing any morning rides this week. I figured I'd be better off sleeping in and be rested and (hopefully) over this cold by the 200K permanent brevet I'm doing on Saturday.

I take the train if i'm ill & don't want to have a coughing fit on my way to work.(me today :o )
I follow the road beside the train line to work as i leave at 5am when it's still dark.

I usually ride in the morning three or four weekdays for anywhere from and hour to two. I ride the whole big mile to work every day!:p I use my bike for all of my errand running needs as well as work meetings and other events. If it is really far I try to combine biking and the bus.
My partner and I usually do one or two 20 to 30 mile rides on the weekend.

Oh Jo - feel better! (I'm drinking EmergenC even as wel speak! ;) )
Like Jo, I try to get rides in early morning 2 - 3 days a week. My training plan has been calling for 4 days a week, but that's not realistic and I need to talk to the coaches I am working with about that before my next 12 week training plan is prepared. (I generally do my own training plan, but this year we are working with some pros, which has been fun.) Anyway, weekdays I either do Spinervals or ride in the dark outside, depending on how warm it is and what I am supposed to be doing (intervals or base). I don't want to ride at night or after work because that's family time. Weekday rides range from 45 minutes to 2 hours.
I do a long ride on the weekends and possibly a second easier ride, depending on what life's handing me.

I try to do something in the morning before work two or three times a week - abs & push ups, yoga or on rare occassions a Spinervals DVD. Ideally, I'd ride 4 afternoons during the week. But work often gets in the way.
Weekends, riding both days would be nice, but is rare.

Depends on the day and work hours. Early to work = riding later, after work. Late start for work = ride before and to work. Weekends = ride whenever possible. I try and ride 3 weekdays and both weekend days. Doesn't always work out that way, tho'. Better now that warmer weather and more daylight is upon us. I will not use the indoor trainer now that I am back outside. Just cannot bear it.

If it's not done by 1pm it isn't going to get done. During the winter I was pretty consistent with 3 to 4 days a week on the trainer. During the spring - I try to head out as soon as the kids are gone to school. It gets so hot in the summer that I'm usually up and out by 6am and headed toward the ocean so I can take advantage of the breeze coming off the water. Plus - if I decide to ride out Sandy Hook or along Ocean Ave, I like to be headed home before the beach traffic picks up.
Afternoons/Evenings are family time, getting the kids to all their after school activities (baseball practices/games, art classes, tennis lessons blah blah blah), getting dinner on the table, cooking out, etc etc. Ya'll know how that goes.

Lucky for me I work from home, so I've been riding mostly in the early afternoon, like around 1. I go out every day that it isn't raining. I've only had my bike a couple of weeks, so I don't know what I'll do next winter in snow and ice... probably buy a trainer.

During the winter I am on the trainer a few times a week after or before work and on the weekend, unless the temps are in the 40's or above I might head outside, otherwise I am on the trainer.
Normally, now with DST, I am riding outside after work a few times a week and for the next month or so I have only 1 weekend day available, however, that will change to both weekend days for riding.
Unfortunately, with the miserable weather the last couple of weeks, I have not ridden afterwork or on the weekend because I cannot revert back to the TRAINER.
rij73...I envy you being able to work from home. I work in Manhattan and at 1:00 when you are riding I am walking along the West Side Hwy during my lunch and wishing I were on my bike instead. Ok...off my soap box now

I started working at a bike shop in the next town over towards the end of fall last year, and began commuting. It's right along my "usual" short training ride route, which is handy :)
This summer I'm working there again, and my rule is that the ONLY time I am allowed to drive is if I have my MTB in my car-- because that means that I am either coming from or heading to a trail ride :D
I thought I was pretty clever until my friend pointed out last night that we have wicked thunderstorms here during the summer (which I love... just not while on my bike)... we'll see how I get around that :o
Other than the commute T/T/F, I do 2 longer rides (or at least more "structured" ones) before class M/W, a trail ride after class W, and trail rides S/S. This is just my summer plan, BTW  ... in normal school-time I ride maybe 3 days during the week, and race Saturdays. Luv those rollers in the winter! :p

My schedule is pretty wierd, so whenever I have a few hours i will take the time to train then.
I find most of my clients are happiest to train in the AM, although a few do workout after work.

I am home from work usually two hours before DH during the week, so I try to get out right after work. On weekends, I like to head out right away in the morning. It gives me a reason to get out of bed!
