Hi everyone. I'm back again. Been very busy of late and have now got a new job:D Hope everyone is well.
Last weekend we went to the same market where I got my Raleigh. Lo and behold, there was another one, although considerably younger than my one. Where the crankcase on my bike is made of metal and is colour coded to the bike, this other bike has a plastic crankcase and plastic mudguards (my mudguards are metal).
Just before the weather got really bad, my son borrowed my bike to pop down to the shop. When he came back he said he would love a similar bike so we bought the bike for him for £25. Although it needed a good clean and an oiling, I rode it home. It was quite stiff with not being used but ran quite smoothly. Took it home, gave it a good clean and it came up really nice. The only thing it needs is some handlebar tape. My son was very pleased with it. It is a black frame with red and white flashes on it and because it has the mixte frame is fairly unisex. The only stickers that HAD to come off were the ones on the lower frame which said "Ladies Sport". Son has promised to go out for a bike ride Sunday afternoon. He has a mountain bike but since his illness finds the mountain bike on the heavy side. I rode it once just round the block and that was enough for me.
