Candy SL pedal for road

I've been shopping around for new pedals for my road bike because I tend to ride unclipped starting off, stopping.....and in sticky situations. I've been riding with the Keo Look Pedal and really don't care for it. It's not easy to ride unclipped with that particuliar pedal. And the fact that you have to look down to turn the pedal in the direction you need it when starting off, is not my idea of easy. A friend of mine suggested the Crank Bro.'s Candy C or SL and from what I understand they are compatible with road shoes.

My question is...if you're like me and tend to ride unclipped at times, which pedal would you recommend? I would think a pedal with some kind of platform, like the Candy, would be logical. But then again I'm fairly new to clipless, so what do I know. :o

You might want to check out Crank Bros Quattros - these are the road version of Candys. They have a slightly larger platform and come with a 3 hole cleat (the Candy cleats are 2 hole) - the cleats are all compatible in the end - I have both Candy and Quattro pedals and I can use my mt shoes with the Quattros and vice versa. In all I really love these pedals, very secure, but still easy to clip in and out and even the road cleats are pretty easy to walk on.
