I'm back to pre-vacation weight 167.

Weather has been too cold, so only one days ride this week.

I'm at 145...the scale was off when I got weighed at the doc and the one at home. So I'm going by the one at home since that's the one I'll be using most.

I started tracking my calories and exercise again on fitday which seems to be working.

Weighed in this morning ... 191.5 (gulp). Only a pound more than last week before leaving for a vacay in Vegas.

Got in two good rides there; a 5.5-hour combo ride-to-trailhead-and-technical-climbing mtn sufferfest and then a two-hour road climb in Red Rock Canyon.

MUST lose at least 2.5 pounds a week for the next four weeks, doing the Kokopelli trail! Trying to ride or get to the gym daily, but it's still COLD... 40 right now and I'm late for work, driving is much faster. If it doesn't rain, I'll try to bike it tomorrow, 10-14 miles each way dep on route. And a 110-mile two-day tour of Yellowstone planned for this weekend before they open the route to cars ...

Good luck with your goals everyone.

I am just coming off anoher 4 day diet vacation (birthday, company, Easter) but I did manage to get in two good hard rides and hope to run and maybe ride today too. I was down to 120.3 yesterday morning but back up to 121.8 this morning. I'm sticking with the lower number. :D My goal is 119 by May 1.

All is good. Even with my Easter chocolate binge I still lost weight. I am actually not interested in losing weight, I am content where I am. :) I have been a lot thinner and it is not a look I care for...too many bones and no curves (on me). Anyhoo, I am working on increased muscle definition and decreasing my body fat %. The numbers are not going up, which is good. It looks as though it may be time to increase my weight training. :(

Hi all:
I'm sticking at 141- not bad since we had company here for ski week which meant way fewer workouts and way more wine and chocolate:D :D
Back on track this week- I'm trying out a few new vegan recipes:rolleyes:
I'll let you know how they go -
I've noticed a huge amount of abdominal bloating/cramping and generally feeling miserable when I eat more meat +/- processed food
or maybe it was the wine- oh please let it not be the chocolate:p
hope everyone had a good easter:)
i loooove easter:)

Pika - for me it's the meat and/or heavy or greasy food. I can avoid that cramping/bloating/pain by taking metamucil immediately before I eat the meal. I use the capsules now - much simpler - (4-5 capsules with a large glass of water...)

That makes sense( the metamucil) I usually just have some cereal with psyllium- ie branbuds ( on in the morning ,of course- not before supper- haha)- DH and I are really changing the way we eat- started last summer and has progressed- now we generally eat vegetarian meals except on the occasional weekend- and of course with these visitors we ate way more meat than usual and my gut really noticed the change!
Like I said: hopefully will be back on track now-
made some homemade energy bars today- thye are kinda goopy- but I like the idea of eating as little processed food as possible so that includes energy bars etc:)
They used dates, hemp flour, ground flax seed walnuts, ginger and pears.
Will try them out this week- hopefully they taste better than they look:p

I lost 1.5 pounds this week, so I'm very happy with that. I put up two big numbers in the previous weeks (3.5 and 4.25), so this was a perfect amount. I expect that bike commuting will lead to a nice loss.

Yay, I'm going down again - 2.6 lbs at todays weigh in! I cooked more meals last week, and had my stash of emergency vege soup in the freezer. That seems to do the trick for me, maybe because when I cook I usually make a huge amount of veges, a salad, and a small serving of meat/fish/poultry.

Well, I figure I'd start on here. My father is a bodybuilder and has put me on a fairly strict eating plan as I've been biking my butt off but it keeps following me even though I'm thought I was watching what I eat. Reading all your posts about losing weight makes me so envious. Everyone around me knows how hard I'm working and I'm at a strong 207:mad: Thank goodness I'm almost 5'8 and I carry it well but it's still too much. I was only 165 when I met DH plus a baby will do it to ya:rolleyes:
Anyway, I'm on week one of this plan and we'll see how it goes. Looking at my father who is getting ready to compete, I trust him!

Was suppose to wait til Monday to weigh in but I lost 5lbs already. I know most is probably water weight but I cut alcohol out completely and I was probably consuming a little too much everynight and my dad said that had ALOT to do with it. This white fish, brown rice, veggies, protein shakes, every 2.5-3hrs deal seems to be working so far.
