Check this out:

Just got the long-sleeve team jersey and wore it on two rides last weekend - one 2 hour ride and one 4 hour ride - both days were very sunny, with one day being in the upper 70's. I did not wear sunscreen under the jersey and did not tan in the slightest - YAY!!! And, the jersey is very light and cool. Too bad they don't have more colors/styles in the long-sleeve sun-protective jersey, and too bad they don't make sun-protective tights with chamois lining - I would really go for those!

Right now the jersey runs for $70 - no tax if you live outside of CO and no extra shipping charges. I received the jersey within two days of ordering.

Anyway, that's my big plug for the day. Enjoy! :)

My BF has been using their UV jersey for two years now - he loves it.

Edit: Ha! I just looked at the website, and I'm pretty sure that's his testimonial they're using for that jersey!

thanks for the post michele. i've been eyeing their spf jerseys for awhile and just haven't jumped.

given that we're out in the sun so much.. i'm surprised this isn't more popular.

and again.. why are there more spf *sleeveless* jerseys than full coverage??? doesn't like a ...half@ss idea??

Just got mine, too, although it will be a while before I need to wear it around here. But, heck, $10 off is $10 available for other bike gear :) Loved the feel of the fabric and the fit. And, now I can take it on my vacation knowing that the SPF will work when I need it. Thanks for the report!

And, I second the request to some manufacturer for light-weight SPF knickers or tights. I wonder who to contact?!!?!?!?

I haven't tried that company's shirt, but I did wear a Terry jersey with SPF two weekends ago. It was 85 F, I was out in the sun for 4+ hours and for once, I had no extra lines where my sports bra ended (under my jersey). It really, really worked! (I thought the tag said SPF 50, but Terry's site doesn't list a rating for the newer versions of the same jersey...it just says MYN(R) UV protection).

It looks like quite a few of their jerseys have this and I can vouch that it works! :)
