Okay - so I haven't been around here for a while. I also haven't been riding. Life has been busy. I made time this morning! I haven't ridden in 6 months. Wow! I was happy to feel as comfortable as though I had ridden yesterday as soon as I sat on my bike. I think the AV jersey helped ;) The legs are a little tired and my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest a few times, but I took it easy and had fun!

There is some benefit to living in a subdivision of houses that all look alike - it's a seemingly endless path instead of a 2 mile loop. And, it was like a ride in the country. I saw cows (yes cows on the edge of a subdivision), horses, red-winged blackbirds, Canada geese, etc. It was actually quite nice! We'll see how my legs feel later.

Off to meet our new puppy and go to the garden show. Have a glorious day ladies!

Snap???

Hey mimi - I'm in Baton Rouge now. We moved here in October. I bet you wanted to ride today to test your road skills with clipless! There's always tomorrow!

Yes, but tomorrow will be a much more technical ride. Today's ride was 12 miles
and back on a bike trail. Tomorrow's ride is with faster people, and on the street.

Well, enjoy your weather while you can. Are you discovering why bees are disappearing? (My friend whose hubby keeps bees in Arkansas hasn't lost any)

I wonder if Snap is still doing housework...:p

It is good to be "back". Thanks! My legs don't hurt yet - even after walking through the garden show.

M-I'm working on mite resistance in bees, not the "disappearing disease". It's a bit of a conundrum - these disappearing bees. Some people are losing bees, some are not. I think it's been blown up a bit by the media. I definitely do not claim any expertise on the subject. Good luck tomorrow with the road ride!

Gawd I'm a slob. Barely made a dent in this mess - but I don't care. I'm going to ride my bike tomorrow morning. There, I said it "out loud". You all have permission to shame me if I do not follow through.:)

///rushes to distract everyone...how do you suppose jobob and veronica are doing? They're what..12 hours into their brevet?
