Does anyone use quick-lace shoelaces and if so which, and why?

--speed laces? (regular or elastic? why?)
--easy laces?
--yanks?

thinking of ordering some and it's one of those things that's really hard to evaluate from a picture online. none of the local stores seem to carry them.

thanks!!!

Edit: Speed Laces, Easy Laces and Yankz are the brand names I've seen online (there may be others).

For races only I have speedlaces, elastic. Honestly, I think they make my shoes uncomfortable, no matter how I arrange them. But for a 5-10k run that's okay.

I take them off after the race...

I have Speed Laces (http://www.teamestrogen.com/products.asp?pID=7231). I got the non-elastic because I like my shoes laced TIGHT! I haven't used them in a race yet but I've liked them when I do bricks.

Oh, this is not the same style of speedlaces as I have.

I didn't realize it's a brand name.

Anyway, mine come in a small white and blue package, and the closure mechanism is a transparent round dish-shaped.

I have that kind too. Everyone thinks they're the shiznit, and they definitely make transition quick, but I think they're kinda tight, even tho they're as loose as they can get. I might try a different brand. There were some Yankz (I think) in the goody bag from my last race. I love good swag!

I use Yanks (sp?) and I like them. They're great for sprints and Olys. I haven't used em for HIM or IM tho. I have done training runs of up to 15 miles in them and they felt OK.

Do quick-laces make a big difference? Do you put them in just your running shoes, or in your biking shoes, too?

I don't suppose I need them for speed (cuz I'm butt-slow), but I like the idea of my running shoes staying TIED.
