What! No one has posted a ride yet??

In my century training plan, today called for 44 miles. So I decided it was a good day to ride to my LBS. I wanted some cleats for a pair of shoes I bought off ebay last year, some sport beans and to see what was on sale.

After riding sleeveless and in shorts during the week, it was back to layers today. After about 15 miles, I was startled by an "on your left" Some guys from the club out that way. They had a re-group just ahead, so I stopped and chatted. I had ridden with one of them before. When they headed out I drafted for a bit, at their invitation, but I told them not to worry about dropping me, which eventually happened. Damn hills.

At the LBS, I bought what I wanted plus a nice PI LS jersey, 40% off.

On the ride back, had a flat. totally my fault, I knew these tires were shot. Black Beauty gets re-shod tonight or tomorrow, as I have some nice new contis, which I have been procrastinating about.

49.50 Miles. Would have ridden around for 50, but really needed to hit the head. :p

I decided to wear my Credit' Arigcole jersey as it was most green thing I have. I took I a different route over to the start of the club ride. I actually managed to keep (about 20 mph) for he first ten mile. The we start a 100O foot over the next 5 miles. I dropped off the back quite a bit, but my buddies were waiting and one of them held my bike so I could take off my tights. We rode together for a while. At another hill , a rider was having problems with his gears, so I waited for him. the main gang had caught by a light, Stopped at the coffee shop and had a cappuccino before start back. I did the 100 foot climb from the other side, which was fun (not), since it has about 1/4 mile of 12% grade. I made up to over 40 coming into Claremont, and pedaled back home.
miles 62.8 or 100K:)

Gorgeous ride w/ the Valley Spokesman today. Had about.. well, I dunno, but a whole mess of riders on gorgeous reverse Cindy route. At parts it was just me, the cows, beautiful green hills and the wind. Just a little freaky since I"m not really familiar with the area. But spied a small flash of a yellow jersey up on the horizon. Followed that like a beacon!

Finally caught up to some gals who I rode with pretty much til the end of the ride. We were all reading our route sheets and I asked, "Uh.. is anyone local?" Nope. LOL. We figured it out. Just got a tad lost. My friends caught up to me towards the end and we finished her up.

Refueled at El Balazo with taco salad and a negro modelo with my group and friends. Hung out in the sun and just gabbed.

Overall a wonderful day out here in the Bay Area.

Fredwina, I saw your post appear & disappear & reappear! :D

I think we both started a thread at the same time. Not wanting a dup, I decided it was easiest to delete mine and add my ride in yours.....

I met up with Sulis and K80K80 and we had a great 32 mile ride through Sandy. Some headwind going south, but a very nice tailwind going back north. I don't think I held the two other riders back too much. What a an absolutely beautiful day for the first outside non-commuting ride of the year. Thank you Sulis and K80K80 for a wonderful day!!!:p :p :p

it was a gorgeous day, but a headache of a ride! I had to work with the horses until 12, so by the time i got home, ate some lunch, and got the bike ready it was 2. Had to deal with all the obnoxious drunk spring breakers and st. paddys day people for the first 6 miles of my ride(my only place to ride really is up a1a-the beach). it was a short 25 miler b/c I am coming off a knee issue and was just testing the waters. But it felt sooo good to be back on the bike after a month off!!

I rode! Very first club ride and it was a blast! They were kind on us newbies and kept the pace on the slow side. Great bunch of people. Did 30 miles. :)

Excellent century training ride today (well yesterday)!! TNT Group training ride out in Cypress, TX with lots of turns and some mild inclines. I felt great during the ride and I felt great after the ride!! 50 miles! WooHoo! New record for me! :D (oh yes, and our jersey's have green in them so I would not get pinched!;) )

Maybe it has something to do with the banana I had at the second stop, the 1 ounce of Cliff bar I had at the third stop and the sport beans I had at the third stop! LOL Really trying to get down what is good for me to eat during the ride. It took about 3 hours and 50 minutes for that ride and let me tell you...I was enjoying it so much that the time just flew! Before I knew it the ride was over and I felt fantastic!! I was actually disapointed that we were done for the day.

I had taken most of the week off from riding and was fearing that I was going to be lacking....Nope! WOW! What a great day and what a great ride!!

Have a great week everyone!
