Can anyone help me by recommending some road shoes which will fit a wide foot? Brands, models? Up to $200.

What size shoe are you? Sidi has their mega wide shoes which go down to a size 40. Terrific, wide shoes.

Sidi offers the Mega width for a number of their models and these are are hands down the best ultrawide cycling shoes. I need anything from an EE to an EEEE width (depends on who's measuring and on the specific shoe) and these are the only commonly available cycling shoes that are manufactured in those widths. If you're more of a D/E width, wander over to the men's shoes because a D width is pretty standard.
Unfortunately, the Sidis are typically in the $230+ range for full retail price. :( Perhaps you could find some on eBay or on clearance for under $200.

I don't have a wide foot in sneakers, but found cycling shoes were way too narrow for my feet. I now have Sidis in the mega size and am very happy with them.

I also have a wide foot...but my disadvantage is that my feet are also small, so my choices are limited (I wear a women's 6.5).
Both my cycling shoes are Specialized (mtn and road) and both are small men's styles (boys). They are probably only a D width, but for me, that works. Neither pair were very expensive...around $129 ish, if I remember correctly, for the road shoe which was the more expensive of the two.

Northwaves are generally quite adjustable and will fit wider feet quite well.

Northwaves are also a high volume shoe with a wide heel. I recently worked with a local women's team and their Northwave shoes. On every fit, we had to work to decrease the volume of the shoe to try and achieve an accurate fit.

I wear about a size 9 or 9 1/2 depending on shoe type and brand. But I have a narrow heel and wide forefoot.
Aren't the Sidi mega shoes a men's model?

Sidi Mega wides are a men's model. Since we do guaranteed footwear fits in our store, I was able to re-mold the heal to my narrow heal.
