I read a recommendation for using this stuff to securd fork-mounted lights on a RUSA email list. I don't know what it's called, exactly, but it's the anti-skid sticky-backed floor strip stuff you would put on a stair riser. My hardware store sells it by the foot from rolls of varying widths and colors.
I bought a foot of it and used it under each NOB that my lights are mounted to on my fork. Then I decided to put it between the NOB that mounts my computer to my stem. Then I decided to put itaround that NOB so the computer wouldn't move.
The dog's lucky he's outside or I would have found someplace to put it on him, too! :p
Anyway, this stuff is great as a shim in a place where you really don't want something to move.
