Meanwhile my Keens are wearing out, and I'm in the market for a new (and hopefully socially responsible, maybe even vegan) pair of sneakers.

It doesn't get any more politically correct then these; organic free trade shoes, made by happy independent trade union members in the US, Canada, and the developing world, some made from hemp (the shoes, not the trade union members ;) ), and they plant trees when you buy stuff and and and :)

Trek - we talked about that actually. Uh no, I don't think so. She doesn't have pink hair anymore though. And god observation on her date's shoes. He had to find a way to keep up with her. :) She went thru such a funny stage from 15-17 ~ such outfits she used to wear. I'd stop and take photos of the stuff she had on before she went out. She was big into 80's stuff for awhile...
