Anybody interested in riding the Bay Trail starting in Emeryville? I think Sunday is the preferred day. Please post or pm me if you're interested.

Cheers,
Amy

Sunday works for me, too!

Start time of mid to late morning would be great...

(My calendar says Sunday is Daylight Savings Time - let's all remember than then we start talking times...)

Yay! You want to say Sunday, 10 am (so that would be the FORMER 9 am, but it will be 10 am on Sunday, unless later is better for you, Bikerz) at the corner of the frontage road in Emeryville where you turn to go into Chevy's?

Sounds good to me!

Melissam may be able to come too.

And what about WindDance? I'll PM her to be sure she sees this thread - hopefully she has recovered from her "plague"!

Good question, SK - I haven't seen or heard from her since maybe August.

How far?

Anything from 20 to 28 miles, depending on how many extras we want add on. We can add an extra (beautiful) 2.5 miles by looping through Cesar Chavez park near the Berkeley Marina, and a coule extra miles if we go all the way to the end on Point Emery. The straight "out and back" without loops is about 23 miles, I think.

I'd like to do this, but I'm being taken out Saturday for b-day celebrations.

So, I'm a big giant maybe, so don't wait around for me! If I'm a coherent human being Sunday, I'll be there.

I'll be tentative. I still get tuckered out just from walking to BART, so I don't know if I"ll be up for a few hours of riding yet, but I'd sure like to come along!

Just think some positive, healing thoughts for me. I'm definitely on the mend.

Hey there Snap - remember the infamous "TE Ferry Building" extravaganza with FishDr? (And I really don't like to remember how many adult beverages I had that night!) I had one of my best times ever the next day on the Three Bears - the secret is to Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate! So, one big glass of water for every lemon drop, and we'll see you on Sunday!

Winddance - those healing vibes are heading your way - get well soon!

I hope you feel better soon, Winddance.

Note that it's the same route out and back, so if you're feeling like you just want to do a few miles, you can ride a few miles with us and head back the way you came. Just a thought....

Cheers,
Amy

Ah, Sarah....you have found the way to my heart :D

His name is Linus, he's 8 yo, and I adore him. Below is a picture of him having a great time in the Nevada desert camping, and at Point Isabel relaxing after a busy day.

What a great face!!! It's like he's laughing at you.

He's a happy, silly boy. He's probably thinking about one of his pleasurable hobbies in those photos: humping unneutered male rottweilers, chasing cats and squirrels, or rolling around on the floor pretending that his pink squeaky elephant is attacking him.

Me, too. That was really fun :)

And thanks for the ride home, Bikerz. How did you know I really didn't feel like doing those last few miles?

Looking forward to the next time(s),
Ace

It was a great ride, I am glad I drove up! And guess what... on the way home my roommate called to say she was testriding a bike at REI and did I want to stop by to laugh at her. Well she is now the proud owner of a 2006 Novarra road bike! She got a really good deal... it was on sale for under $900 with full 105 groupo. We are going to go on a quick ride on the bay trail here down at Shoreline soon to do some road bike lessons. Maybe I will bring her along next time :-)

See you both at the Cindy dinner!

Wow, she's a decisive shopper!

Have fun instructing her, and definitely bring her along on our next ride.

Sorry I missed it guys - family obligations, rather than too much fun on Saturday.
