Congratulations! Are you doing something special to celebrate?

Last August DH and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with a road trip up the east coast--Florida to Maine--and on the very day itself, we did a leisurely 25-mile ride--a mile for each lovely year. I suppose it hasn't been all hearts and flowers, but that's what I remember most.:)

As an aside: DH and I also met because of our bikes. Our first "date" would have been a bike ride (I was doing a ride with a friend and asked him to come along), but we went out to dinner and a movie the night before, so I could get to know him a little better, first.

Our first date was not a bike ride (although we tried to arrange one) but the first time I saw my soon-to-be-DH he was wearing his full bike kit and carrying his road bike up the stairs in my building. Does that count? :)

I went for a 40 mile ride after work. Thom made me mac and cheese for dinner, mostly just another day.

It's kind of fun to reminisce about that first bike ride though. It was one of the first warm days in March in Maine. We were teens. Life was so complicated then - NOT. But I certainly thought it was.
