March 2nd Rides

Well, I beat the rain today to get in 20 miles and 1800'. A beautiful, if cold, ride in the country. I'm just getting back to riding after months away, and it sure feels good.

Anyone else get in a satisfying ride today?

After not getting in many outdoor miles in February due to snow/ice, yesterday's ride was a true treat. I left work a bit early (at 14:00), so after feeding the golden wolf pack, I was dressed and out the door by 14:30ish. It was spring-like--lows sixties & sunny. The strong headwinds didn't even bother me. And best of all, Thursday night's rain got cleared the trail/road of all remaining snow & ice bergs. Got to wear shorts, a craft base layer, jersey, fingerless gloves, and my ruby slippers! I savored every minute because this morning, it's back to layering, winter sidis, etc. I feel fortunate that I can be outside again, even if we aren't out of the woods in terms of cold temps.
