i have some thoughts about bicycle fit.i have just bought used bike and got good Wilier with durace for small amount of money, but frame is a little bit large for me(tt=56cm ,and i need 54cm).i adjusted it to my body size by putting on it shorter stem, and by seat positioning.by all calculations and messures it is my size, but when u look and consider just frame it is large.i am riding almost every day and i passed on it more than 400km.i have no leg or beck pain.does it mean that it suits me now ,or it will be shown later on?i know that is better when u can have frame of your size but can it be suited this way?top tube is wide and i messured frame size to the center of it(tt_=56).but if i messure to the end of it it is 58cm.which is the right size?

Jovana,
if it's not hurting, don't worry about it. If you are young, you are probably pretty flexible too. A lot of us older gals are the ones that have the problems with fit.
(It sounds like a BIG bike) send us a picture?

What a pretty bike :) Is it red or pink? one pic looks pink to me. Very pretty though and if it seems to fit and not bother you, leave it be and just ride.;)

it is red.i just fall in love with it -would be very sad if i have to sell it or change for smaller frame....when i bought it ,it was so dirty, with mud and with broken carbon wheel, without pvc pic.those things reduced it price.man who sold it to me can not recognize it.under some other circumstances i will not be able to buy it.
p.s.sorry because my english...i just ve got up(it is 6am)

Hi Jovana,
I also bought a bike at a reduced price that was a bit too large for me.
I got numb in my hands on longer rides (100 km) - the solution was not to shorten the stem but to buy one at a higher angle.
My LBS guy demonstrated to me how having a steeper stem instead of a shorter one, would reduce the distance from saddle to handlebar: try drawing it on a piece of paper.
If you encounter problems, maybe you want to change.
What a pretty bike. I want a red one too.
With regards to your other thread - about training and heart rates - try just riding for fun and perhaps take a flatter route sometimes, you will improve in time.
Good luck on your first race!
