Hi all!

Here is a message I received from a friend. Some of you might be able to help in some way, especially those on the Pacific Coast.

Many thanks!!

There's a group forming in Vancouver that's going to bike to Mexico as part of an effort to to raise money and awareness for microcredit initiatives in poverty stricken areas. There's more about the biking organization at www.agentsofchange.ca (or on facebook at http://ubc.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2217556980), and more about the microcredit initiative at http://www.kiva.org/. Although donating money is the obvious way to help, there's some other things you can do.

For People Who Bike
They're still trying to pick out their bike route and to get equipment, so if you've got any tips, let them know! At the moment they're planning on doing the Pacific Coast route outlined at http://www.adv-cycling.org/routes/pacificcoast.cfm

For People along the West Coast
Is there a good party spot or a band or other entertainers that would get excited to hold a similar party/fundraiser in your town when the trip goes through? Do you have suggestions for good camp spots or hostels along the way? Contact the group's president at Shawn.Smith@agentsofchange.ca to coordinate.
