Question....I tried on a pair of Sidi Zeta's today and really liked them. My DH spoke to a very avid cyclist that he works with about Sidi's and HE says that Sidi's stretch when they get wet, and that I might have to invest in a new pair in about a year. Has anyone had any problems with Sidi's in any way, shape or form???

Yikes - at $300 a pair I should hope that they do not stretch! I've had mine for around a year and though I generally wear my mt bike shoes for bad weather training (they are warmer and more waterproof and I can fit two pairs of socks in them), I have worn the Sidi's in all sorts of weather and so far as I can tell they have not stretched.

My DH has 2 pairs of SIDIs - road and mtb. The road shoes are at least 6 years old - the mtb's are 4. He's worn them through tropical storms (7" of rain - boy did EVERYthing get wet!) and all sorts of weather. I've never heard him say anything negative about the shoes. In fact, that is all he'll wear when it comes to bike shoes.
p.s. My only negative comment about SIDIs would be the women's shoes don't come in my size!

mine have survived florida's hurricane season two years. i no longer have the problems I had before I bought them. I love my sidi's. They are not for everyone. My LBS stopped selling them.

Ditto to what they've said. My husband and I both have sidi road shoes and they've not stetched. I've been out in the rain riding but I do not believe I've ever gotten them soaken wet, so not sure how they would react if I jumped in a puddle with them. :p I do understand wanting to be sure prior to making such a costly purchase.

I have multiple pairs of Sidis. They are made from synthetic Lorica. I've never heard of them stretching.
